final exam planning
I think I'm going to do the project this weekend. I'm gonna shoot it at the mall or some boutique. The story I'm gonna tell is shopping for my sisters prom dress. I can shoot the video on my phone and the pictures on the camera I'll borrow from school. I think narration at the end a video somewhere in the middle and the pictures throughout.

my opinion writing
We are always told to dream big and be spontaneous, but from the moment we can talk, we are sent to school. Where they tell you where to stand, when to talk, and what to think. And 13 years later, after never being able to have an original thought, they set us free into the world. 13 years is a very long time, and then they want you to go to school for atleast 4 more years and pay for it out of your own pocket.
Now college is wonderful thing, dont get me wrong, and education is very important, but the execution of the idea, I think, got a little misconstrued. Maybe its just the way things are taught, people sit in these sometimes up to 300 hundred people lectures and are taught the same things year after year. There's no indivuality and we are still being told how to think.
It's when people jump outside of that box that innovation can really happen. Apple wasn't started because Steve Jobs kept doing what eveyone else thought was perfectly fine. And he didn't learn how to do that by sitting in a classroom, he went out and did it in the real world. The greatest classrom there will ever be is the world.
Not everyone is Steve Jobs though, he probably has one of the most innovative minds that will ever be. Some people just can't breathe near all these people. They need more space so they can grow and decide who they want to be. College is a great thing, but I dont think everyone is nessesarily ment for it. And we shouldn't make it seem like not going to college automatically makes your life inferior to those who do.
I don't think we should be discouraging kids from going to college and we should be ecouraging it, but we shouldn't be acting like its college or nothing. They want you to pay hundreds and thousands dollars to attend and if you don't have the money, grades or some special talent you're kind of screwed. In other countries college is payed for through taxes, which I think is a much better way of doing things. It may make taxes rise, but if we are really so keen on the idea that everyone needs to go to college to have a sucessful life maybe thats the way to go.
My sister has decided she's not going to go to college. She is going to go live with my grandpa and help him because he recently got his leg amputated. People think she's crazy, she could probably get into a really good college, but instead shes going to live on a farm in the middle of nowhere. But she's doing something that matters more to her. And if she changes her mind she can always go later.
As long as you're doing something that you care about it shouldn't matter where you are. If you're spending your first years out of highschool at harvard or in your dad's auto repair shop. No one should tell you where to go, or who to be except you.
College is great, it provides you with social skills and a place to find yourself. So go to college if you want, find yourself there. Just don't look down on those who can't or choose not to because its their choice not yours.

final exam preview
today i learned the basics i movie. i movie is not a difficult concept its much easier than actually learning how to clip together video and sound. its basically just drag and cut and import and export. really anyone can do it, young children tech savy grandmas. i movie is a very useful tool in being able to create something.
i movie is a very simple tool to use, most people could probably do it in their sleep. the blog posts taught things like how to open it, what buttons to push when you get there, how to cut and drag footage. they told you how to use special tools and what works best. But really imovie is just common sense
i knew how to import videos to imovie already
i learned how to get rid of the default type things
im concerned about the narration because my voice is really cringey and sounds awful on record
i think i can take the pictures early and just have them ready
maybe a video of my dog being cute or like my friends walking around

nut graf
a nut graf is an american journalism term for a paragraph the is normally in a feature story that explains why the story has value. nut grafs are normally used in stories with a lighter subject matter. like for example a story that no one really cares enough to read in its entirity but a good nut graf is what keeps them reading.
they are also used in more important stories too though. in those cases nut grafs can pull all the really important information into one place. A good one can take a story to the next level. while a bad one can break a story. nut grafs are an escential part of an article and can really help or hurt a story.

student of the month story
Today on April 10th, 2017 Juliette Schenbin was named Bowie Highschool's Student of the Month.
Her teachers collaberated for many days to decided who would be the lucky student. She was chosen because of her excellent grades and persistent additude.
"juliette is a bright light in the class room" Mrs. drake, her language arts teacher, said " she's always helping the other students."
Juliette is a 9th grader this year, is a very organized student and sets a good example for her fellow students.
"i try to always stay on top of things and keep my stuff organized in binders"
The student of the month is someone who will represent the best of our school for at least 31 days. When asked how she felt about the whole ordeal Juliette simply said
"I feel great about it."
Juliette says she sometimes feels stressed "especially about the six week tests" because students are asked so much of. teachers count on good organization
"(juliette) is one of my best students," said mathew perry, her biology teacher " she has her work done on time and pays attention."
her family is so proud of her and hopes she will keep this good momentum.
