magazines part 2

1. The first magazine cover type is imaged based this is the most common and showcases what the magazine is about centered around one beautiful image. Second is illustration based this is used when the magazine wants to convey something funny or out of the ordinary most magazines don't use this though. And a third option is type based which has lettering that gets across the message the publication wants, lastly there is concept based design this is a mixture of the other three and uses strong imagery to convey a strong message. All of these things can work but you have to make sure that the message is received fast and well.
2. the relationship between the words and the pictures on the magazine cover is the words are supposed to help explain why that picture is there and why that picture makes sense for the cover because it relates to the rest of the magazine
