self portrait vs the selfie

A selfie by definition is a photograph that one has taken by oneself, usually with a smartphone. This is a very similar concept to the classic self portrait, where an artist paints a portrait of themselves. But really the only difference is the method of which the photo was taken. On the other hand though selfies and self portraits couldn't be more different.

The selfie has created a more diverse form of self expression. While self portraits do the same thing, more people from all walks of life can share their selfies.  But selfies last only as long as it takes to take a better one and re-upload. Self portraits are a more permanent form of art, they were made to withstand to tests of time. The two may have their differences but at the end of the day they are both just ways for people to express themselves.

Honestly I think I would rather take a selfie than a self-portrait because in my head a self portrait is something you put a lot of thought into. I see a selfie as something you do when you're at the zoo or doing something interesting, but I'm not really that into selfies personally unless other people are in it with me. A selfie is no more important the self portrait they both serve as something people use to express themselves.

A phobia is a anxiety disorder where the person has an irrational fear of something and will try to avoid it at any cost.  

• achluophobia- fear of darkness
• Hippopotomonstrosesquipedaliophobia- fear of long words 
• Isolophobia- fear of solitude, being alone
• Quadraphobia- fear of the number 4 
• Zemmiphobia- fear of the great mole rat
• Somniphobia- Fear of sleep

for the fear of darkness photo you could have someone in a dark room with just a light over them the person just slightly off center 

for fear of solitude you could jut have someone alone who is terrified with some other people in a group next to them but not with them they will be balanced 

and for fear of sleep you could do a clock showing a really late time and someone just staring at it at a angle where you can still see the person and the time

i think this is a good picture bc its just cute its a cute little british boy meeting the president of the united states and he probably doesn't even care the he's meeting him he just wants to play with trains


i like this picture because i like polar bears but this polar bear looks really sad and it  makes me sad and makes me want to help him because he's a polar bear he shouldn't be in a mall


i think this picture is a good picture for 2016 because it shows that someone doing a really evil thing can unite us in a way a lot of things can't so we can try to prevent more bad things from happening

best song of 2016
well most of the music i listen to is older because i don't know why but a really great song this year that i always listened to was i need a gangsta from suicide squad. Maybe i just liked it because the played it during the scene where harleen becomes harley quinn but hey its a really good song. It has a good beat sorta and i don't know its just really great and overtime i hear it i think of harley and the joker and it makes me happy.


best movie of 2016
now suicide squad is my favorite movie and i want to make that clear but i do feel like it had some issues therefore though it is my favorite i cannot say that it was the best movie of 2016. there were some great movies but i think the best would be the edge of 17. it is the closest thing i have seen to a john hues movie since he died and it was so funny and the characters were relatable, it was funny but also really real. And it had blake jenner in it which was a nice bonus.


most important news story
i think an important news story was the access pipeline that they were trying to build and shailene woodley got arrested because she was protesting it. i know this isn't really that significant to most but shailene actually stood up for something she believed in. she didn't just sit behind a keyboard and talk about it she did something and i think thats pretty cool.


most important person of 2016
my most important person of 2016 would be trove sivan, he did so much this year he was on tour he was one of forbes 30 under 30. he had an add campaign with american eagle, he's a great representative of the lgbt community and inspires a bunch of people every day to be who they are which sounds really corny and i kind of hate myself for saying it but its a really important thing to be able to do.


biggest entertainment story
i don't know if you could really call her entertainment but taylor swift going all crazy on kanye and kim over famous. now I'm not a taylor swift fan i only watch keeping up with the kardashions if its 3 am and nothing good is on and i only like some of kanyes songs, but when taylor went insane of kanyes song for no reason and then was caught lying it made me really happy. and this story while it was happening it was all the entertainment people talked about it was every news story on snapchat for atleast a month.

1. well i didnt really do much i visited my grandpa in the hospital so it was nice to see him and give him hugs but other than that i just watched movies. oh and i got back to the future on dvd so I'm pretty excited about that 
2. i don't have any resolutions i just don't want to set any as i will just not do them and then feel bad 
3. tv shows coming back hopefully moving in the summer tats pretty much it and in march a bunch of movies i really wanna see are coming out
